Wanted. The notorious Robin Hood! REWARD!

Meg (Director), and Jenny and Robin (Producers), wish to thank everyone who was involved in the panto for all that they did to make Robin Hood and the Babes in Wefton Wood happen. They have heard repeatedly that it didn’t just ‘happen’, but went with an tremendous swing from start to finish. It seems that such an effort has had an enormously positive effect on the morale of the community and has also brought people together across our Church communities. There are even more wonderful photos to look at now on the website and also more on this story.

Over 450 people watched the pantomime over the four performances and every performance ran like clockwork. All Saints Centre was transformed for the week of the pantomime into a really effective theatre, with staging, curtains, backdrop, lighting and changing areas. Big thanks to the team that carried out this transformation. Also the breakdown they carried out on the Sunday after the last performance was the most successful ever, with 70% of the equipment being collected and removed from the Centre on that day. Especial thanks to David Shearman for his sterling efforts in organising the entire set and guiding the ‘chain gang’ and also to Don Hewit for organising the hired in equipment and the full set up and breakdown of the lighting.

The cast had a post panto party immediately after the last performance and grateful thanks to those that organised this. There was a buzz of satisfaction and pleasure from cast and crew having been involved and rumours immediately starting that the history of Wefton will doubtless go forward.

Grateful thanks to Naomi Cox as Front of House Manager and her team in making sure that tickets, seating and refreshment sales all went smoothly for every performance. Thanks to Tesco Express with ticket sales and our own Centre team in managing the online and cash ticketing sales so effectively.

There were considerable expenses in putting on such an event, but the budget stacked up and we are pleased that we have done better than break even and have been able to donate a good sum to The Primose Hill Community Woodland.

As you are aware, the Robin Hood and the Babes in Wefton Wood Pantomime production is dedicated to the memory of Dave Clark.
Please download the programme here and read the dedication on page 3. We do have some printed copies of the pantomime programme at the Centre Office if anyone missed getting their souvenir copy.

Here's a selection of photographs of this outstanding cast, who were selected from an audition of thousands, for their brilliant acting, dancing and singing skills.
With grateful thanks for the wonderful photography to Dave Saunders.
